Introduction about the different types of bicycles

Mountainbikes

Mountainbikes are specially designed to use off-road. For this they have a stable framework, cleated tires and a multi-threaded derailleur. Mountain bikes are also increasingly equipped with disc brakes. The MTB front is led by a fork. Full suspension mountain bikes are also fully (short for "full suspension") called. Mountainbikes which are front suspensioned are called hardtail bicycles. Mountain bikes differ significantly from each other bikes in technical terms. Choosing the right mountain bikes depends on the application.

Roadbikes

Racing bikes are designed for cycling on the road. They are characterized by a particularly lightweight, but sturdy construction as well as special handling. Characteristic features for a road bike are still very narrow rims and tires and a road bike called drop bars. Road bikes are equipped almost exclusively with rim brakes and derailleurs. A road bike has no rack, no fenders. As frame materials are steel, aluminum, titanium and carbon use.

Trekking bikes

Trekking bikes ate constructed for trekking tours. The tires are thinner as mountainbike tires and thicker as roadbike tires. This allows driving on unpaved roads, but it brings (compared to other bicycle wheels) also a lower rolling resistance with it. A trekking bike can be equipped with multiple racks to store the extra pieces of luggage, which are needed for a tour or a travel.

Twentyniner

The frame is adapted to the 29-inch tires of the twentyniner bicycle. This provides a 29-inch bike ideal conditions. With a 29 inch bicycle, it's quite easy to reach high speed and keep this high speed. Many professional cyclists are already using twentyniner bikes for their competitions. The 29er wheel here differs fundamentally from smaller wheels with tire sizes.
